Deferred ecommerce delivery solutions - Q & A

Untracked services:

Q.           What if our clients don’t require a tracked service?

A.            We can offer, from the same platform, regular airmail services worldwide which avoids the registration fee (now called standard mail by Royal Mail)

Q.           Why wouldn’t certain clients be bothered about tracking?

Because the replacement cost of the item being sent is so low to your prospect  that it’s cheaper to send the odd replacement than to pay for tracking.

A.            Tracking can delay the delivery if customers aren’t at home so, if your client has letter boxable products, post can provide a great deferred service with less customer services issues

A.            They are competing against local in country suppliers so can’t afford to bump up the price with expensive distribution.

Q.           How does our untracked international mail service work?

A.            We use a combination of premier EU postal authorities and direct injection to offer a great service at a low cost.

How do I sell these services?

Q.           How do I sell regular and registered mail to my prospects?

A.            Firstly always ask the question!  “Are you using international mail or registered mail or an economy road service into Europe?”  in order to identify prospects and not miss an opportunity.

Try to get a copy invoice or examples of the rates and quantities the prospect is paying/sending.

If you need assistance in quoting then send the profile to our help desk and we will be happy to advice.

Q.           How do we get any traffic to your LHR hub?

A.            We recommending asking the client to box the days traffic and send it via UKMail overnight to our LHR hub.  We get our UKMail delivery in the morning (???) and will despatch the same day and provide the first scan on all items.

Q.           Who pays for the overnight box/s.

A.            If your client has several items a day, we recommend you amortise the cost of the UKMail next day service within your rates.  The alternative is to prove to the prospect that if they pay for an overnight it’s still much cheaper than them using Royal Mail.  If the clients paying then you know they are less likely to send one item in a box that you’re paying for!    On the other hand if you’re confident that the volumes make sense it’s an easier sale to include the cost of delivering to our hub in with your charges.  Our rates are so low that, provided there is a reasonable volume of light-ish items, the cost of the overnight box shouldn’t be an issue.
